Last weekend, my family went to Chicago to follow my big brother Jeremy on his first stop of “The Seeker” tour with Cloud Cult. It was a road trip with my Dad, Mom, brother Josh and myself! We had a blast roaming the city, eating delicious deep dish pizza, and listening to good music. My parents grew up just outside of Chi-town, so they gave us the grand tour!
We drove late into the night on Friday. On Saturday morning, we went to the viewing of The Seeker film in downtown Chicago. The movie was amazing & emotional. As my brother josh put it, “I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster already today and we haven’t even eaten lunch”. Haha! If you get a chance to watch the movie, you must!
For lunch we met my Uncle Neal, Aunt Abby and their boys Matthew and Tommy! We ate deep dish until we couldn’t possibly eat any more. Then we went over to Dave and Busters and watched the NCAA tournament, ordered every dessert on the menu for dinner, and the boys played arcade games till they were drenched with sweat! Later, we met up with Jeremy and EJ and listened to live music at “Howl at the Moon”! We sang at the top of our lungs and giggled all night long. What a fun memory.
On Sunday, we met up with Jeremy and EJ again and had the most delicious brunch at Sweet Water. From there, we went to da bean (of course), and walked around millennium park for a bit before Jeremy and EJ had to go set up for the show that night. After that, we tried to go to the Sky Deck, but there was a three hour wait, so we walked along the river instead and boo’ed trump towers every time we walked past (hehe).
Next, we had dinner with mom and dad’s friends from school and headed out to the Cloud Cult concert at Thalia Hall! It was an amazing concert, and a trip I will always remember 🙂
